Indeed, Cadwork is capable of reading and writing multiple file formats like DWG/DXF (AutoCAD...) and we are pioneers since we have been supporting IFC files for more than a decade. IFC is the standard BIM format that enables CAD packages to share models. Cadwork can take Sketchup, Revit and many other models like ArchiCAD to move to fabrication without loosing crucial data.

Powerful Framing Module

Our Element module speeds up the framing process. Our library enables you to integrate your framing details including all construction layers. Details not only include walls but also floors and roof panels, using lumber or steel and custom profiles like I-beams. The framing process is automated based o your rules and the result can easily be modified by moving/adding studs, blockings, electrical, plumbing and even steel shapes provided in our standard library.

Whether you are using a saw, a 3-5 axis router or a panel line, cadwork makes sure you can move from the model to fabrication quickly and accurately.

Drawings in an Instant

Extracting shop drawings from a 3D model can be a tedious task depending on the software you are using. With cadwork it can be done in a few clicks. Cadwork integrates several features creating drawings for individual items, panels, modules, site assembly, and more. Layouts of all drawings can be customized easily and panels as well as individual items are extracted with dimensions and labels.

Bill of Material and Optimization

An accurate bill of material is not only important for managing your stock and ordering the right quantity from your suppliers, it is also useful for cost estimation and to make sure you have the right item at the right place in the shop or onsite. The cadwork list module can be formatted freely to list any items represented in 3D. Hardware such as bolts, hangers as well as lumber, timber, sheathing, I-joist or electrical, plumbing and openings can be extracted from your model in a spreadsheet format. Our list module can also be used to optimize material consumption and reduce offcuts of your lumbers or I-joists, Should you have to communicate with an ERP or simply Excel, the lsit module offers multiple file formats like csv and xls. You also have the ability to include lists in your shop drawings, making sure nothing is missing in your panels or modules.

Leica Total Station

The direct connection between your leica Total Station to cadwork 3D allows for optimal measurement accuracy on site. In "as built" mode, the existing elements are measured by means of a Laser beam and directly sent in cadwork 3D. In "layout" mode, the data of your 3D model is transferred to your Total Station and can be projected on site with precision.

Doors and Windows/Render

Whether you only need to represent the rough openings, or any type of window, everything is possible. Our library includes multiple types of doors and windows that are all highly customizable. Adding realistic looking windows, combined with the great rendering options we have can be a incredible sales and marketing tool for you. Imagine your clients walking through their front door on their actual yard using our Virtual Reality feature!

Logistic and Installation

Transport and installation are crucial steps in the modular world. Cadwork offers all the tools to streamline these tasks like making sure boxes fit on the truck, do not exceed the maximum weight and are well balanced for the crane using the center of gravity precise location. Connections for plumbing, HVAC and electrical can also be planned for n easy installation. Transport and installation sequence can also be predefined for an easy installation. Stairs, Cabinets and Libraries

Due to cadwork's well rounded software, it allows you to create a customized stair, by guiding you with a semi-automated module to ensure the stair is functional based on your specifications. Cadwork also lets you develop your own cabinet system. Our interface with Blum Dynaplan enables you to use all the hardware from this specific supplier and then move to production in an instant.
