A Unique Sugar Shack by Ian Granville

SugarShackJoineryFinal

We’re excited to showcase a special project built by Ian Granville – a talented designer and builder based in Tiny, Ontario. Ian’s sugar shack frame was raised in 2021. Designed to tap approximately 100 maple trees, all the syrup produced is generously shared with friends and family.

The timber frame for this beautiful structure was expertly cut by Kane Seward in Squamish, BC, bringing Ian’s vision to life with precision and craftsmanship. The project was modeled using cadwork, ensuring every detail was carefully planned and executed.

We’re proud to highlight Ian Granville’s exceptional work in designing and building this one-of-a-kind sugar shack, which captures the spirit and tradition of the maple syrup season.
